My son waited 3 1/2 years for his own room. He's finally got it. He chose a fish theme - great it meant I didn't have to look far for accessories thanks to Ikea.
I painted fish on the walls, I've apparently not finished yet, my son keeps telling me he needs more fish!
I love kids and love painting. My dream job would be to decorate kids rooms full time!

He even got his own walk in closet behind the curtain - pure luxury, but it solved a problem we had with the house design so it worked great.

The huge round window was a challange to cover. I didn't want to spoil it with a regular square blind and we came up with this. A metal piece bent to a circle and covered with fabric. Fish on the inside to match the bedding and white on the outside.

Also made cushions for his window ledges from the same fabric - still waiting for hubbie to finish the trims round the windows!

We kept furniture to a minimum to allow him maximum play space, we add more as he grows and his needs change.

wow, how nice! very nice place at all, and above all smart and cozy solutions, shelves on the wall, window and more. And your fish .. you are really good at painting, agrees snuttjulla that you did not decorate the Swedish style.
I can understand that your little son would have more fish! His window in the room is just too wonderful and a walk-in closet for such a small, what a luxury!

Vilket mysigt rum! Tycker det är jättekul att kika in på andra barnrum då vi själv just nu håller på att göra vid ett barnrum till vår dotter som är beräknad att komma i mitten av december.
